Past Customer Journey: Discovering Kyoto's Charms
Upon arriving at Kansai International Airport (KIX), we took a comfortable private taxi directly to Kyoto. We were absolutely mesmerized by the breathtaking cherry blossoms and explored countless stunning landmarks. After visiting various shrines and temples, we indulged in an authentic Japanese dinner in Gion. The taxi company recommended the restaurant and even made the reservation for us free of charge. Many fantastic restaurants in Japan require reservations, and some high-end establishments operate on an introduction-only basis, meaning they won't accept reservations without a referral from a regular patron. This particular Japanese restaurant was introduction-only. Although the dinner cost 30,000 yen per person, it was an incredibly satisfying experience. For tourists booking on their own, we definitely recommend confirming and reserving in advance. While information on the internet is certainly helpful, insights from locals like our taxi company are invaluable. (Translated)
Past Customer Journey: Discovering Nara
Our day of sightseeing in Nara started with a peaceful morning visit to Omiwa Shrine, where we felt a deep connection to Japan's ancient deities. Afterwards, we savored some delicious somen, a type of thin noodle, and truly enjoyed the local flavors. The afternoon took us to Mount Shigi, where we snapped photos with the iconic giant tiger statue and admired an incredible collection of Buddhist statues. Following this, we headed to Nara Park to interact with the deer. It was truly a memorable day! (Translated)
Past Customer Journey: Discovering Hyogo, Tottori & Shimane
Our adventure began at the majestic Himeji Castle in Hyogo Prefecture – a truly breathtaking start to our journey. From there, we continued our travels westward to the Tottori Sand Dunes, where the vast and unique landscape left us in awe. Afterward, we immersed ourselves in the fantastical world of yokai at Mizuki Shigeru Road in Tottori Prefecture, then relaxed and unwinded at a wonderful onsen ryokan (hot spring inn). The next morning, we crossed into Shimane to visit the sacred Izumo Taisha Grand Shrine, bringing our spiritual journey to a close. In Tottori, we savored fresh seafood directly from the local sources, and in Shimane, we enjoyed soba noodles. The time spent in the onsen was a perfect opportunity to relax and re-energize our tired minds and bodies. We opted for a private onsen bath rather than a communal one with strangers. While experiencing Japanese culture is important, for those who are uncomfortable bathing with strangers, we highly recommend choosing hotels that offer private onsen facilities. If you have any questions or concerns, it's always a good idea to consult with your hotel or taxi company. (Translated)
